Typically, I have a lot going on.
1. Kung Fu. I started a style of Kung Fu called Mo Duk Pai about 3 weeks ago. I cried on the first class. Jeez. For some reason, that first class broke a little piece of me that I have held onto and drew my reserves of strength from. Like a giant fire, or rock, something immovable and hot and fierce. I feel a bit like I’m floundering now, with out it there. I don’t want it to be gone, but I cant seem to find it again. I keep telling my panicked mind that it’s just morphing into something else and it will be back and brighter, hotter and more bad-ass than ever.
To me, Kung Fu is kind of like Yoga. Crane Stance = Tree Pose. Tiger Stance = Warrior II. Horse Stance = Chair Pose (a bit opened up). I have used my knowledge from Yoga and applied it to my learning process, which has helped me out a bit to not feel so awkward. I have been told that it takes a while to get to the non-awkward feeling stage. You should have seen me try to do a round house kick the other night. Bwahaha. I need to find a yoga pose (maybe a mash up of Warrior III and Extended Hand to Big Toe?) that relates to that to help me grasp just what my leg should be doing.
2. As I work from home, my office is upstairs in my attic space, along with my art studio. Since I am up here about 10-15 hours a day, I am being driven crazy by the clutter up here. I want to move things around, take things and place them elsewhere, create a nice little seating area in the middle of the room for when my daughter wants to come and hang out with me (read – bother me while I am trying to work). Something has to happen soon, that is all I know. I am tired of backing into the cutting table in the middle of the room every time I get up and out of my chair.
3. I am going to try henna in my hair. After 19 years (OMG) of dying my hair, I decided to try something a bit easier on my hair. I ordered some ancient sunrise as well as some Harquus paint for painting on my self. I am super excited!
